The weather was perfect, and I got to spend it with some very creative friends. What could be better than that? We had the opening weekend for the “Heritage Redefined” exhibit at the Virginia Quilt Museum in Harrisonburg, VA, It runs through December 16. I have a couple of quilts hanging in it. The first 3 photos are my wall hangings. I totally forgot to take to a picture of the 4th one…Its my Pink-a-boo Green and the last one is the view from the road. Beautiful drive through the mountains.
If you get a chance to go see it well worth the drive. Virginia Quilt Museum
On Friday we had a class with Violet Craft, the guest speaker, very creative fabric designer, pattern designer and wonderful teacher. I started her Peacock Abstractions pattern, just making the diamond feathers, so far its still fun….each diamond has 49 pieces to it. I’ve gotten 5 done so far, not sure what type of layout I’ll do yet…
