Weekend O Plenty

I got a ton done again this weekend. I love it when it all just flows. I’m starting to work on stuff for Christmas… I know its seen early but time flies. The charity group I work with does a couple of craft shows/bazars as fund raisers, so I wanted to get starting. I don’t think I’ll top my record from 2011 of 57 table runners, but I can try…LOL

Here’s a couple along with the Hexies Diamonds I finished. The Table runners are from left over block from a baby quilt I made last year. The Hexies will be put onto a table runner also. I  have to admit I’m enjoying making the Hexie blocks.

More finishes

I’ve been on a roll. Lots of projects all getting done at the same time. It feel good but there’s always the let down after the hard work is finished. But looking on the bright side it frees me up to start something new!!! Here’s June’s UFO. I love the happy colors on the white background, I may have to keep this one. I’m calling it Rainbow Zig Zag.

This other quilt is from the Richmond Modern Quilt Guild Kona Yard swap at the May meeting. It was a lot of fun seeing all the color combinations. I lucked out and got fabric that all plays very well together. I’m calling this one Isosceles On Black, its 2 sided.

Rainy Monday

I’ve been kind-of busy crank ‘en out the finished project. And loving it. Feels good when you get stuff done. I am all up-to-date on the QA UFO challenge. Here’s April’s and May’s finished project all quilted, bound and ready for bed…LOL  I would have Junes on here but it got cloudy and rained yesterday so I couldn’t get a good picture, I’ll be showing that next time. Both of these are paper piecing, April’s is the first one I ever did and May’s is the second. They are both from the Craftsy class to took; Quick-Strip Paper Piecing with Peggy Martin. The first one is Pin Wheel Polka and the second is Sailor’s Delight. I really like technique, need to figure out the next paper pieced quilt project.
