Off the Wall, Design wall and UFOs

I’m participating in Quilting Adventures UFO/CEO challenge again this year. I’ve already turned in my list of projects, so I feel like that’s a good start…LOL The first up (which is due in February) is a pillow from the leftovers of the memory quilt that I helped my friend make. I have it laid out how I’m going to sew it together. I’ll have pictures, hopefully next week, of the finished pillow. I think its coming along very nicely so far.

Next up, for March is a little wall hanging using some cross stitch that my mom made. She had tons of things made and we wanted to do something with them, so I took a couple to see what I could come up with. Should be fun. Stop by next week for pictures of the progress, while your waiting go check out what others are doing at Patchwork Times

Local Quilt Shop

If your anywhere near Richmond VA you need to stop by Quilting Adventures, in the willow lawn shopping center. Its a great shop. They have a wide selection of fabric and artsy stuff, something for every fiber lover. Hope Joyce doesn’t mind I’m using her image from Facebook. Go check them out.

Happy Monday

Here’s my second paper piecing project. It’s not done yet still needs some borders. I really like the out come but paper piecing is a lot of work and wasted fabric. Maybe next time I need to do just one block and make pillows or small wall hangings instead of whole quilts…LOL
